About Us

Our Story

From a single company in 1958 to eleven companies across seven sectors.

Overview

Established in 1958 by Abdulaziz Saud AlBabtain as a small company promoting consumer goods, AlBabtain Group of Companies has grown over nearly seven decades into a diversified family‑owned group with a strong presence across the MENA region.

From consumer goods, the Group expanded into technology, food and beverage, real estate, warehousing and cold storage, construction aggregates, agriculture and investments, through new ventures and acquisitions alike. Al Waseel has been the exclusive distributor for Philip Morris International in Kuwait since 1961, and Raad, established in 1963, holds Kuwait’s first FMCG import licence. The Group’s investment portfolio, spanning public and private markets, is managed by AlBabtain Investment Office, established in 1971.

Today the Group employs more than 1,500 people across its eleven companies and represents more than 100 international brands, many of them through partnerships that have lasted decades.
